Two PhD Positions in DNA Repair & Cancer Chemoresistance
The Ismail Lab is seeking two highly motivated PhD students to join our research group. Our work investigates the interplay between DNA damage, repair mechanisms, and cancer chemotherapeutic drug resistance.

Candidate profile
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Eligibility: Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Education: Hold (or are about to obtain) a Master’s degree or B.Sc. in molecular biology, genetics, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: Hands-on experience in lab-based research. Prior experience with DNA repair or animal models is an asset, but not required.
- Mindset: Enthusiastic about cancer research and genomic maintenance; curious, collaborative, and eager to grow into an independent scientist.
