CIHR Operating Grant Awarded

The Ismail Lab has been awarded a 5-year Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) grant to study targeting MAEA to overcome PARP inhibitor resistance in high-grade serous ovarian cancer; exciting science is underway!

Three-Year CRINA Operating Grant Awarded

Our lab is thrilled to receive a three-year Dr. Heleen and Rod McLeod Operating Grant in Hematological Cancers from the Cancer Research Institute of Northern Alberta (CRINA)! This major funding will support our ongoing research into the mechanisms of drug resistance in Multiple Myeloma.

The lab is excited to announce that we have been awarded an Innovation Operating Grant from the Women and Children’s Health Research Institute (WCHRI)! This funding will support our research investigating the role of DNA repair mechanisms in overcoming drug resistance in ovarian cancer.

The Ismail Lab, together with the Chan and Gamper labs, has been awarded a Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) grant to acquire a spinning-disk microscope, enhancing our capabilities for functional analysis of cellular mechanisms via live-cell time-lapse confocal microscopy.

CRINA Bridge Funding Awarded

The Ismail Lab has been awarded one-year bridge funding from the Cancer Research Institute of Northern Alberta (CRINA) to advance our research into the mechanistic insights of DNA double-strand break repair.
